Royal Danish House releases first digital annual report
On April 30, 2014, the Royal Danish House released its first digital annual report.
According to Lord Chamberlain Ove Ullerup’s foreword, the 2013 annual report illustrates the Royal Danish Family’s official activities and doings in the areas of business and culture, humanitarian and social initiatives, sports and health, research and education.
The Lord Chamberlain writes that Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and The Prince Consort were hosts when H.E. President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö and First Lady Jenni Elina Haukio of Finland and, later, H.E. President Truong Tan Sang and First Lady Mai Thi Hanh of Vietnam paid state visits to Denmark. The Royal Family led a number of business and cultural promotional campaigns abroad, and several trips focusing on humanitarian and social matters were made.
In addition to the summer cruises with the Royal Yacht Dannebrog, the Royal Family also paid a number of visits in Denmark and carried out several openings in both the cultural and business world.
In addition, the official duties have included receptions of audience seekers and ambassadors, as well as attention to the royal foundations, which in the past year awarded grants to a number of projects of cultural, scientific, educational, social, and humanitarian character.
The 18-page report is divided into the following subjects: * Constitutional Duties * State Visits & Official Visits * Visits in Denmark * Business & Culture Campaigns * Rescue of the Danish Jews * Humanitarian & Social Duties * Sports * Health * Openings * The Defense * Research & Education * Crown Prince Couple’s Prizes * Confirmations
