VisitDenmark helps The Danish Pioneer’s readers explore Danish heritage, genealogy & culture

The Danish Pioneer Newspaper has been contacted by VisitDenmark, which is the official nonprofit tourist organization funded by the Danish state.

Rikke Møller Christensen, Online & Press from VisitDenmark, informs The Danish Pioneer that their New York-based office has just finished a sub site on Danish heritage that might interest The Danish Pioneer’s readers.

“Our research shows that a very big percentage of the American tourists in Denmark have Danish heritage, and we are doing our best to give them the best possible experience finding out more about their ancestors,” comments Rikke Møller Christensen. “Therefore we have created a sub site on our American homepage with various tools to do genealogy research, and direct links to companies who specialize in genealogy research so that Americans with Danish heritage might get to visit the actual farm, church or school their ancestors grew up in.”

She adds, “Our mission is to give them a wonderful experience on their genealogy tours to Denmark and provide them with lots of information and tips about attractions and Danish culture.”

The Danish Pioneer’s readers can see the various articles regarding Danish heritage at:

VisitDenmark is hoping that The Danish Pioneer Newspaper and its readers can help spread the word about the new sub site to many of the 1.5 million Americans with Danish heritage.
