Guest of Honor is Finnish actress, dancer and singer Taina Elg
The Society is truly privileged to have as the Guest of Honor this year the celebrated Finnish actress, dancer and singer Taina Elg who has had an outstanding international career. She began acting and dancing at a very young age in Finland. The ballet brought her to London and Paris where she joined famed ballet companies. The combination acting and dancing together with her talent led her to Hollywood and a contract with MGM. During her Hollywood career she was honored with two Golden Globe Awards. Her love for the stage and musicals brought her to Broadway. She has worked with many of the most famous artists such as Gene Kelly, Roger Moore, Lana Turner, Leslie Caron, Mitzi Gaynor, etc. and has an impressive background with a great number of stage appearances, principal films, TV appearances, concert work, singing and recordings – and she is still performing!
