Established in 1912, Rebild National Park Society, Inc. is the first Danish-American friendship association. With chapters in Denmark and the USA, Rebild’s mission is to work to strengthen and support the friendship and cultural ties between Denmark and the United States. Every year thousands of people attend the July 4th Rebild Celebrations in the beautiful Rebild Hills. This celebration of the American Independence is still the biggest celebration of America’s National Day outside the United States. In addition, annual Rebild meetings are held each spring in the USA. In April 2015, the annual Rebild meeting was held in Omaha, Nebraska and on April 6 – 10, 2016, the Rebild meetings will be hosted by the San Francisco Rebild Chapter.
