This is one of the events that The Danish Pioneer Staff Writer Nina Miller Sanchez went to in a fabulous industrial type building in the middle of Copenhagen, in conjunction with Copenhagen Fashion Week. The event was on Friday, August 9, 2013.
Designers Nest was created in 2003 as an international outlet for Scandinavian fashion design graduates to showcase their collections during fashion week at the CPH Vision Fair which is a trade fair for buyers, designers, press and bloggers.
This season Designers Nest presented in the garden at Vision located at the locomotive workshop in the middle of the city but still close to nature. The Lokomotivvaerkstedet is 9000m in space and has an industrial vibe with windows from ceiling to floor and a large garden with room for many types of outdoor activities.
The Crown Princess is an advocate for the project and often visits the CPH Vision Fair to “crown” the winner in a prize celebration.
The aim of Designers Nest is to promote and recognize the most current astute design graduates from Scandinavia and introduce new talent to the world of fashion.
