2nd Annual Danish Music Fest in Greenville, MI featured Danish-born soprano Victoria Gydov

The 2nd annual Danish Music Fest in Greenville, Michigan on Sunday, August 11, 2013 featured none other than Danish-born soprano Victoria Gydov.

Victoria presented an array of songs, from her opening number ‘Wonderful Copenhagen’ to a medley of Danish favorites, and operetta and opera. While Victoria was singing ‘In the Name of the Lord’, my friend whispered to me, “If I died right now, I would float right to heaven with an angel singing.”

The pre-event for Danish Festival in Greenville concluded with Victoria singing the ‘Lord’s Prayer’, which drew a third standing ovation.

The concert by Victoria, who now lives in Ontario, Canada, was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church. About 90 attended the dinner and concert.
