Rebild Plans 2014 Meeting in Solvang, California – with Optional Post-Tour to Hawaii

Each spring, Rebild National Park Society, Inc., the Danish-American Friendship Organization founded in 1912, hosts its Annual Membership Meetings & Tours somewhere in the USA. In 2014, the Rebild Annual Meeting will be held in Solvang, California on April 2 – 6, 2014. Visit www.rebildfesten.dk and www.danishrebildsociety.com for more information.

In 2014, immediately following the Rebild Annual Meeting in Solvang, there will be an optional post-tour to Hawaii. You don’t have to be a Rebild member to participate in the post-tour.

Would you like to enjoy five nights on Waikiki Beach from April 6 – 11, 2014? This special Hawaiian tour is escorted by Mette Axelsen Haydt of Superior Travel Associates of Glendale, California.

You will be staying at a beach front hotel on the world famous Waikiki Beach with its beautiful clear blue water, availability to many water sports and a view of Diamond Head. You will be within walking distance to restaurants, entertainment and shopping, including the International Market Place. The Island Circle Tour includes Pali Lookout, the Exclusive Kahala Estates, North Shore surfing beaches, Waimea Bay, sugar cane and pineapple fields, enjoy lunch at Kualoa Ranch and visit the Dole Plantation. Also included is the famous Germaine’s Luau featuring the Royal Procession, traditional Hawaiian imu ceremony (the ritual of raising the roasted pig from the underground oven), time-honored luau delicacies, buffet style Hawaiian favorites and the traditional Polynesian entertainment. Additional sightseeing on your own might include the Pearl Harbor Memorial, the Iolani Palace, Aloha Tower or King Kamehameha statue. Take time to relax on the white sandy beach or at the pool with a traditional Mai Tai.  The hotel offers live music nightly which you can enjoy while dining outdoors or relaxing by the pool.

The tour is based on a minimum of 20 passengers, so Mette Axelsen Haydt needs to know of your interest in the post-tour by October 1, 2013 in order to receive initial deposits.
