DANSK JULEFEST
The board of the Danish Club of Houston has a busy December planned for its members and is actively working on its annual Christmas party. It promises to be yet another great event! This year’s Christmas Party will be on December 7th at Kris Bistro at the Culinary Institute Le Notre in near-north Houston – a more centralized location with a guarantee of wonderful food and a “hyggeligt” ambience!
Social hour will begin at 6:00 p.m. with rich Scandinavian gløgg procured from the Scandinavian Folkdancers of Houston. Then a 5-star traditional Danish julefrokost will be served at 7:00 p.m. Seating is limited, so please check for space availability at www.danishclubofhouston.org.
The Culinary Institute Le Notre is located at 707 Allensby, Houston, TX 77022.
JULEGUDSTJENESTE
The Danish language Julegudstjeneste will be held at the Norwegian Seaman’s Church in Pasadena, TX on December 15th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Andres Albertsen will be joining the event from the Danish Seaman’s Church in New York once again to lead the service. After the service they will serve coffee and Æbleskiver, thanks to Ericka Lawson and her crew of helpers.
Please contact Carl Steffensen at cfsteff@comcast.net / (281) 493-4801 or Erika Lawson at ealawson@swbell.com / (832) 372-7631 if you would be interested in lending a helping hand. We need 400-800 Æbleskiver, and there are never any leftovers!
The Norwegian Seaman’s Church is located at 4309 Young Street in Pasadena, TX.
