#4 The Danish Pioneer’s Countdown to Christmas 2013: Start a new tradition of collecting Danish Christmas Seals
Each year, the beautiful and historic Danish Home in Croton-on-Hudson, New York produces new and colorful Christmas Seals. Each year’s design is different. You can use them for your holiday mailings or save them for your holiday memories.
To order your 2013 Danish Home Christmas Seals, please call the Danish Home in Croton-on-Hudson today at 914-271-3052 (while supplies last). Danish Home Administrator Erik Andersen tells The Danish Pioneer Newspaper that a donation of any amount will allow the Danish Home to send you a sheet of these beautiful 2013 Danish Home Christmas Seals.
In addition, The Danish Home in Croton-on-Hudson, NY invites you to an “Open House Christmas Party” on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2 – 4 p.m.
Please note this is a change of date! Because December 1 fell on Thanksgiving weekend, the Open House was rescheduled for December 8.
A favorite annual event at the Danish Home, guests are invited to visit and experience the Danish Home community, along with some holiday cheer. The Open House begins with Christmas caroling in both Danish and English, with live musical accompaniment. The singing is followed by a special coffee hour. The kitchen staff serves homemade Danish Christmas confections, including wienerbrød, brunkager, kringler, sandkage, æbleskiver, finskbrød, and more. Guests have the opportunity to mingle with staff, residents, and their families.
The Christmas Party is hyggeligt and it’s an event not to miss!
