The Story Behind Larsen’s Danish Bakery
Poul Larsen began his baking career at age 14 in Copenhagen, learning the art of making pastries as an apprentice to the finest chefs in Denmark. He has been creating fine traditional Danish pastry in the Seattle area since 1974, when he opened his own bakery in the Ballard area under the mark of the golden crown and pretzel, traditional symbol of fine Danish Bakeries.
