49th Annual Danish Festival runs through August 18, 2013 in Greenville, Michigan

The 49th Annual Danish Festival is currently in full swing in Greenville, Michigan and running through August 18, 2013. The theme of this year’s festival is “The Storks” and is from a Hans Christian Andersen classic tale. The 2013 Danish Festival mural, which artist Luverne Adamson of Vestaburg painted, was unveiled in Greenville on July 27. The Danish Festival’s mission is host a festival that celebrates the homecoming of family and friends and the area’s Danish heritage. Danish Festival will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2014 and a committee has already been formed to work on the special event for next year.
