#16: The Danish Pioneer’s Countdown to Christmas 2013: Enjoy ‘Jul to the World’ through January 5, 2014 in Minneapolis

“Jul to the World, A Nordic Christmas” is a special exhibition to see with your family and friends this holiday season at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Danish Room in this year’s exhibit was designed around the theme New Nordic Food and features photographs and books by Rene Redzepi and restaurant Noma.

There are two tables, one a contemporary Danish home set for a Christmas Eve meal beginning with rice pudding and one inspired by Noma.

Vintage Danish modern furniture by Hans Wegner and Borge Morgensen was provided by Danish Teak Classics.

The decoration committee, all members of The Danish American Center in Minneapolis, are Susan Jacobsen, Sarah Maas, Shelley Nordtorp Madson and Renee Showalter Hanson.
