Merry Christmas and Happy 2014 from The Danish Pioneer’s Editor, Family and Staff

The year 2013 has been an exciting one for The Danish Pioneer Newspaper staff with the introduction of new computer equipment and software to produce our larger-formatted, colorful print editions and we also launched our new website www.thedanishpioneer.com in early 2013. It has been a real education for the staff regarding new technology and the rapid development of social media, and we will continue to learn, develop, grow and change in 2014.

We send everyone our very best wishes for the holiday season! We would like to sincerely thank our readers, advertisers, local editors, staff writers, family and friends for their support.

The Danish Pioneer’s special 2013 Christmas edition took a lot of extra time and work this year with its FULL COLOR PRODUCTION, and the results were outstanding. The issue is actually larger in column inches than last year – packed with news, photographs, greetings and advertisements.

I would again like to thank my hardworking family, our wonderful friends and outstanding local editors, columnists, staff writers, photographers, subscribers, advertisers and publishing company for their help in 2013. Because of your support of this special annual holiday issue, you are helping to ensure the continuation and preservation of the oldest Danish Community Newspaper in North America since 1872.

The Danish Pioneer enters its remarkable 142nd year in 2014. Our thoughts and best wishes go to everyone who has endured illness. Our prayers go to those who have lost friends and loved ones during the past year. May they rest in peace.
