60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee of the Crowning of Miss Norway of Greater New York planned for March 28, 2015
On Saturday, March 28th, 2015, the Miss Norway Contest will be held at the Norwegian Christian Home & Health Center, at 1250 – 67th Street in Brooklyn, New York in the Arthur Nilsen Banquet Hall at 2 p.m.
This year marks a very important milestone for the contest, as it is the 60th Diamond Jubilee Year of the Crowning of Miss Norway of Greater New York. There are 13 contestants. The Little Miss Norway and Junior Cadets will also be joining.
Miss Norway, Little Miss Norway and the Junior Cadets are all taking part in the 17th of May Parade. Miss Norway rides in a classic convertible. The Little Miss Norways and Junior Cadets will ride in a horse drawn carriage. This year’s judges are Senator Marty Golden, Amanda Berntsen (a Former Miss Norway), Brian Andersson, Joyce Abrahamsen, Captain Raymond Festino (68th Precinct).
There will also be a special program commemorating the history of Miss Norway.
