The Danish American Society has scheduled its Family Christmas Party at Aamanns-Copenhagen in New York City on Sunday, December 15, 2013 –
Please join the Danish American Society on December 15th, 2013 at Aamanns-Copenhagen, the Danish Eatery and Take Away located at 13 Laight Street (Downtown, NYC) from 4:30-7:30 PM for its 2013 Annual DAS Family Christmas Party.
Tickets for sale online at http://www.danishamericansociety.org.
Special Guests include: His Excellency Ambassador Jarl Friis Madsen, Consul General of Denmark …and a visitor from the North Pole… plus a musical interlude by Yael Acher (flutist).
Juletide and Julemand spirit is here again! It is high time for a joyful Holiday party to celebrate our Nordic culture, take part in Scandinavian traditions and enjoy fine Danish cuisine.
Please join us for a hyggelig Danish Christmas Buffet including beer and wine (frikadeller og ribbensteg med rødkål, ris-a-la-mande etc.) prepared by the top chefs of the City’s only authentic Danish restaurant! There will also be a beautiful Christmas tree and cookie-decorating lessons for kids (of all ages). Also, we hope to have a visitor from the North Pole! Please bring a small wrapped gift with a name tag for your child/children.
The annual holiday party is a special tradition that brings together a greater community of Danes and fellow Scandinavians, and is a longstanding tradition (DAS was formed in the 1950s!). We sing carols, and truly enjoy a convivial gathering of friends old and new. Wonderful friendships have been formed over the years that were started at this annual event. Recommended for people of every age, but most especially for those who can celebrate the kid inside us. Our party this year is going to be a bit larger … and for the first time in many years in NYC!
$70 (members), $85 (non-members), $25 Children (between 8-12) – For each adult ticket purchased, up to two children under 8 years of age may attend at no additional cost.
To take advantage of the membership price, please sign for your 2014 membership at http://www.danishamericansociety.org
