Celebration of Walter Anthonsen’s life set for June 20 at Vasa Park in South Elgin, Illinois
Celebration of Life – Walter H. Anthonsen – April 09, 1931 – December 28, 2014 –
A Celebration of Life Service for Walter H. Anthonsen will be held at VASA PARK, 35W217 Route 31, South Elgin, Illinois 60177 on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. The Park will open at 1 PM for those attending. All are welcome. Light refreshments will follow the service.
Walter served for many years as Scandinavian Park President and Scandinavian Day Festival Chairperson in Illinois. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Scandinavian Park, Inc. NFP for a gazebo to be dedicated in Walter’s memory. Memorial contributions can be sent to Scandinavian Park, Inc. NFP c/o new Scandinavian Park treasurer Johannes Smits, 315 Chatham Lane, Roselle, IL 60172. All Honor to Walter’s memory! Thank you!
Everyone attending Walter’s service is also encouraged to stay for the Scandinavian Park Midsommar Celebration on Saturday, June 20. For those wishing to stay for Midsommar, the Scandinavian Midsommar Celebration will begin at 3:30 PM continuing until 10 PM. See attached flyer.
