Children’s Exhibit and Arctic Puppet Show in New York
The Ridge Creative Center in Bay Ridge, New York presents Children’s Exhibit, “The Return of Old Man Winter” and Arctic Puppet Show.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2015, The Ridge Creative Center in Bay Ridge, New York will be showing their current exhibit, “The Return of Old Man Winter”. The exhibit explores celebrations held at the end of the holiday season, as well as pieces that resulted from the center’s study of the Arctic.
The Ridge Creative looked at the Arctic’s diverse terrain, animals and human cultures, with a focus on the Inuit and Sami culture. This exhibit will include a performance – an Arctic Puppet Show. For the latter, children chose an animal in the Arctic, designed their scenery, which replicates each animal’s habitat, and wrote their scripts. The opening begins at 6:00 pm.
The Ridge Creative Center offers learning for children, families and adults. The center explores all subjects and incorporates the center’s learning through the arts. The center’s After School has an exhibition space to display the students work. Every 6 weeks they have a new student exhibit.
They also provide: Personalized Creative Birthday Parties, ESL for Families, Full Day Vacation Day Arts Program, Summer Arts Program and a Family Arts Program.
