Come join the Danish Sisterhood in Chicago for a Flower-Arranging Demonstration in April and a Parade in May
By Bente Rasmussen, Past President & Event Coordinator, Dagmar Lodge #4, Chicago –
The Danish Sisterhood of America’s Dagmar Lodge #4 of Chicago recently celebrated its 130th anniversary.
Over the years, there have been and are many devoted Sisters who make our lodge valuable for future generations to experience. Dagmar Lodge has about 100 members and is growing.
Our regular meetings are hold at The Danish Home of Chicago on a Sunday afternoon.
If no monthly meetings are scheduled, we have social events at different locations in Chicagoland area. To strengthen the Danish community, we work together with The Danish Home or other Danish organizations.
Our next meeting will be Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Danish Home in Chicago. We start with Danish Afternoon Coffee with the residents at 2 pm and continue our meeting in the living room at 2:45 pm. At this meeting we will have a Flower Arrangement Demonstration by Harry Nyholm Jr. in memory of his mother Nancy Nyholm – a longstanding and dedicated Sister. It is very informative and educational with lots of tips you can use for your arrangements. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Please follow us in the Norwegian Parade on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Park Ridge. Afterwards we will have our regular meeting at The Danish Home.
The Mission of the Danish Sisterhood of America is to strengthen, maintain and preserve the Danish heritage and traditions for future generations. Learn more at www.Danishsisterhood.org
