Danish American Athletic Club in Illinois plans Fastelavn Party for Sunday, February 22, 2015
On Sunday, February 22, 2015, the Danish American Athletic Club of Illinois will once again hold its Annual Fastelavn Celebration (like Nordic Halloween) at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 15 Hickory, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Danish Sisterhood Dagmar Lodge #4 members will again join the DAAC for its Fastelavn party. The Sisterhood will have a short meeting at 1 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall and then the Fastelavn Celebration will take place from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
There will be Fastelavns Ris, Costume Parade, and Slå katten af tønden (DAAC has a REAL barrel again this year, where the children can knock the stuffed cat out of the barrel). Homemade Fastelavns boller, coffee and juice will be served. The event is FREE, and members, family and friends are all welcome. Please bring your children and grandchildren. Please RSVP to Dorte Strobel at 847-772-1662 or dorte.strobel@culturalcare.com by Feb. 20, 2015.
