Danish Brotherhood in Chicago celebrates St. Patrick’s Day
Today (Saturday, March 14, 2015), the Chicago River has been dyed emerald green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day with 45 pounds of eco-friendly vegetable dye poured into the river – and a St. Patrick’s Day Parade is held in downtown Chicago.
Meanwhile, Danish Brotherhood Lodge #35 in Illinois is also marking the occasion with a St. Patrick’s Day gathering on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
The Danish Brotherhood meets on the third Friday of each month at the Harald Viking Lodge, 6730 W. 175th Street, Tinley Park, Illinois at 7:30 pm unless otherwise specified.
The lodge will have corned beef open-faced sandwiches, plus some regular Danish open-faced sandwiches. Make sure you wear your green. New members are always welcome. Dues are only $10 per year or $20 for a family. For more information, please contact Lodge Treasurer Ray Nielsen at 708-799-5182.
