Danish Brotherhood Lodge #35 in Tinley Park, Illinois announces Family Christmas Party on Friday, December 20, 2013

Each year, families gather for a special Danish Brotherhood Lodge #35 Christmas Party at the Viking Lodge, 6730 W. 175th Street in Tinley Park, Illinois.

The children make crafts, decorate Christmas cookies or make marzipan treats. Parents and children then help each other to decorate the Christmas tree and dance around the tree until…..Santa pays a holiday visit to the delight of everyone present.

This year’s Holiday Party is planned for Friday, December 20, 2013 beginning with cocktails at 6 p.m. and then the potluck dinner at 7 p.m. Everyone should bring a dish to share. The lodge provides the ham.

If you are bringing a child or children, please ask Treasurer Ray Nielsen about the procedure for gifts and let him know how many children are coming at 708-799-5182.

If you wish, the lodge collects toys for the hospital and you can donate an unwrapped, new item ($10 minimum, but no stuffed animals please).

New members of Danish Brotherhood Lodge #35 are always welcome. Dues are only $10 per year, and the lodge has a wide array of family activities, ranging from Fastelavn’s Party, St. Patrick’s Day Party, Frikadeller Scholarship Dinner, August Summer Picnic, Halloween Party, Anniversary Party and Christmas Party. Please ask Ray Nielsen for more information at 708-799-5182.
