Danish Christmas Service in Massachusetts set for Sunday, December 20, 2015
Dansk Julegudstjeneste i Massachusetts –
By Jane Kjems, The Danish Pioneer’s Local Editor –
The bells of the First Lutheran Church in Waltham will be calling Danes from all over New England to the Danish Society’s Julegudstjeneste [in Danish] at 4:30 P.M. on Sunday, December 20th, 2015.
The address is: First Lutheran Church, 6 Eddy Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
Kom I julestemning, lyt til juleevangeliet (Catch the essence of the spirit of Christmas, listen to the Gospel) og syng med på de danske julesange, som vi alle har kendt og holdt af lige fra vi var små (and sing along on the Danish Yule songs, which we all have known and loved since we were little).
Anne Dugan is in charge of the Julegudstjeneste, and often some of the members contribute to the service by sharing their arts and talents. After the service we will hygge os over a cup of coffee or cider and a piece of wienerbrød and smaakager from Ullas bakery, before we scatter again [out in the snow?] with wishes for en GLÆDELIG JUL!
