Danish Events on the East Coast May through June 2014, including 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Danish Home in Edison, NJ

The Danes on the East Coast are gearing up for the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Danish Home in Edison, New Jersey and many other events in May and June 2014. Please mark your calendars and please contact Agnes Hagmueller for more information at ahagmu01@comcast.net.

* Sunday, May 4: Danish Home Board Meeting at 11:30 AM  followed by Annual Memorial Service at 2 PM at the Danish Home, Edison NJ.  Services will be held at the Mindehoyen to remember Danish Lodge Members who have passed on.

 * Sunday, May 11: Happy Mother’s Day to all.

* Wednesday, May 14: DBIA Thor Lodge #46 Meeting  8 PM at the Danish Home, Edison, NJ.

*  Friday, May 16: DSS Freja Lodge #36 Meeting. Brown bag lunch at 12 Noon. Meeting at 1:15 PM. Annual Birthday Celebration.

* Sunday, May 18: Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Danish Home, Edison NJ  1914-2014.   1-6 PM at the Home, Edison NJ.  A Century of Service and what the Home has meant to the Danish Community on the East Coast.

* Sunday, June 8: Danish Home Board Meeting at 11:30 AM Danish Home, Edison NJ.

*  Wednesday, June 11: DBIA Thor Lodge #46 Meeting 8 PM at the Danish Home, Edison NJ.

*  Friday, June 20: Smørrebrød Luncheon with DSS Freja Lodge #36 & DBIA Thor Lodge, DANE and guests 1 PM.  Midsummer Day & Sankt Hans Dag.

*  Sunday, June 15:  Happy Father’s Day to All.

*  Sunday, June 22: DANE Culture & Heritage Meeting. Topic “The Danish Home at Croton NY”.  Genealogical Help also available. 2-5 PM at the Danish Home, Edison NJ.

* Saturday, June 28: DSS Freja Lodge #36…Proposed  “Day at the Races”, Oceanport NJ.

* Sunday, June 29: Scholarship Awards Outdoor Picnic given by DBIA Thor Lodge #46 and DSS Freja Lodge #36.  2PM at the Danish Home, Edison NJ.

There will be no Brotherhood, Sisterhood or DANE meetings during the months of July & August.
