
Danish Painting Day & Lunch planned at Vasa Park, South Elgin, Illinois on Sunday, May 31, 2015

Hello to all Danes and other fellow Scandinavians,
Hope to find you all in good health and spirit.
Your help will be appreciated on Sunday, May 31st, 2015 where we have our second annual Painting Day at Vasa Park, 35W217 Route 31, South Elgin, Illinois 60177, which is owned and operated by Scandinavian Park, Inc. NFP. For a map and directions to Vasa Park, visit www.vasaparkil.com.
We will be there the whole day (8:00 am – 4:00 pm), but you can come anytime.
You can paint standing or sitting. There is plenty to paint. Don’t want to paint? Come and help with planting flowers in the planters. Or just come to be among fellow Scandinavians.
The Park provides the paint and the Park has some tools, but please feel free to bring your favorite paint scraper, paint brush, trays, rollers, broom, step stools, step ladder etc.
A picnic lunch will be served around 1:00 PM.
Below is what I have on my lunch list so far:
1. BBQ Grill(s), grill tools, coal etc. – Paul Pedersen?
2. Hamburgers incl. condiments and potato salad – Lars & Bente Rasmussen
3. Hotdogs, hotdog buns and condiments ??
4. Salad dish ??
a. Karen Vig is bringing a pea and carrot salad.
5. Cookies ??
6. Plates, utensils etc. ??
7. Water ??
8. Soda ??
9. Beer ??
10. Wine ??
