Tamra Rosanes, an American country singer and songwriter living in Copenhagen, Denmark, will be inducted into America’s Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame for her contributions to Rockabilly and Honky Tonk music. Rosanes will perform at the ceremony on August 27 at the 39th annual Old Time Music Festival in Lemars, Iowa.
Her induction and performance will be prior to the induction of John Carter Cash (the only child that country legends Johnny Cash and June Carter had together). She will perform with Nashville guitarist Chris Leuzinger (guitarist for Garth Brooks) and Brant Miller on mouth harp and mandolin.
Rosanes has released 16 solo country albums, including the hit album that she produced, “Cowgirls,” with Sanne Salomonsen and Lis Sørensen. Rosanes has sung duets with American legends John Prine, Dennis Locorriere (the voice of Dr. Hook), and the late Cowboy Jack Clement, has toured with Carlene Carter and Charlie McCoy, has performed at several international country festivals, has won a Danish Grammy, and has received several gold albums.
Rosanes is presently touring with her rockabilly band Rockabilly Heart, with her country trio, and with her new trio Hallelujah Special. Rockabilly Heart’s CD will receive the award for Rockabilly CD of the Year.
