Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Grand Final held in Denmark
Copenhagen was chosen as the host city of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. The event was held at the B&W Hallerne at the Refshaleøen, under the slogan ‘Join Us’, with the grand final being held on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
The Danish Pioneer Newspaper’s Staff Photographer Hasse Ferrold reports that the Eurovision event in Copenhagen was a great success and a superb experience for the participants and the happy audience.
The winner was Conchita Wurst from Austria, who performed “Rise Like a Phoenix” and earned 290 points.

RESULTS:
# 1: AUSTRIA: Conchita Wurst scored 290 points.
# 2: The Netherlands got 238 points. “THE COMMON LINNETS” ON PHOTO. They performed “CALM AFTER THE STORM”.
# 3: Sweden got 218 points. Sanna Nielsen performed “Undo”.
Basim from Denmark, who performed “Cliche Love Song”, came in 9th place with 74 points.
In 2014, it is 40 years ago since the Swedish group ABBA won the Grand Prix of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with popular song “Waterloo”.
Last year’s winner of the Eurovision Song Contest was Emmelie de Forest of Denmark.
