Happy 130th Anniversary to Danish Sisterhood Dagmar Lodge #4 of Chicago, established in 1885

Established in 1885, Dagmar Lodge #4 of Chicago is one of the oldest lodges in the Danish Sisterhood of America.

To celebrate the lodge’s 130th anniversary in 2015, the members are holding their Annual Winter Luncheon Fundraiser and Celebration of the 130th Anniversary on Sunday, March 1st, 2015 at 12:30 pm at The Svithiod Hall, 5516 West Lawrence Ave, Chicago.

The special menu will feature Appetizer, frikadeller (Danish meatballs), potatoes and gravy, red cabbage, rye bread and anniversary cake. The cost for luncheon is only $14.00 Adults, Children $6.00.

danish-sisterhood-logo-imageThe Danish Sisterhood lodge is also participating with the Danish American Athletic Club at their FASTELAVN PARTY on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus (KOC), 15 Hickory, Arlington Heights, IL. The Danish Sisterhood will hold a brief meeting at the KOC at 1 p.m. and then participate in the FASTELAVN PARTY.

The Fastelavn program includes: Fastelavn Ris, Costume parade, Slå katten af tønden (they have a REAL Barrel again this year!), Homemade Fastelavns boller, Coffee and Juice will be served. Members, family and friends are all welcome.
