Featuring the return of Nordic Noir with Maria Lang’s Crimes of Passion – FILM SERIES – Nordic Noir: Crimes of Passion –
June 25 through August 8, 2014-No screenings the week of July 4, 2014 Filled with secrets, sex, betrayal, intrigue – and murder – Crimes of Passion is a whodunit based on Swedish author Maria Lang’s novels. Follow amateur sleuths Puck Ekstedt (Tuva Novotny) and Einar Bure (Linus Wahlgren), and police superintendent Christer Wijk (Ola Rapace), in their quest to shine light on the murderous intent lurking beneath the seemingly idyllic surface. Episode 1: Death of a Loved One/Mördaren ljuger inte ensam (June 25 & 27) Episode 2: King Lily of the Valley/Kung Liljekonvalje av dungen (July 9 & 11) Episode 3: No More Murders/Inte flera mord (July 16 & 18) Episode 4: Roses, Kisses, and Death/Rosor, kyssar och döden (July 23 & 25) Episode 5: Dangerous Dreams/Farliga drömmar (July 30 & August 1) Episode 6: Tragedy in a Country Churchyard/Tragedi på en lantkyrkogård (August 6 & 8) Only ASF Members may reserve film tickets, by calling 212.847.9746 or emailing film_reservation@amscan.org.
