Nordic Council of Wisconsin presents 23rd Annual Indoor Scandinavian Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2013
The Nordic Council of Wisconsin presents the 23rd Annual Indoor Scandinavian Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Elementary School, 4225 South Calhoun Road, New Berlin, WI 53151.
There will be live Scandinavian music, energetic ethnic dancing, fun-filled children’s parade and a festive fashion show.
Headlining the 2013 Festival will be the Danish folk singer and troubadour-at-heart Flemming Behrend! As a musician, Behrend focuses on performances in the traditional Danish Folk Music style with vocals and acoustic guitar.
There will be Genealogy Consultants and presentations available again this year for those interested in learning how to research their Scandinavian family history through the use of the Internet.
Among the food booths you will find Danish Æbleskiver, and there are exhibits from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
The cost of admission is $8.00 for adults, children 4 – 12 $2.00 and children under 4 – free.
Donate a non-perishable food item for the New Berlin Food Pantry, and you get $1.00 off an adult ticket.
