Norway’s all-girl’s marching band Kolbotn-Garden to visit New York on Sunday, June 22, 2014

The Scandinavian East Coast Museum in Brooklyn, New York is proud to announce that they will be having a performance by Norway’s only all-girl’s marching band, Kolbotn-Garden. The girls range from ages 8 – 18 and have raised funds to travel to the states to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Norway’s Constitution.

On Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 3 – 6 p.m., Kolbotn-Garden will be performing a military concert and tattoo in John Paul Jones Park (Cannonball Park). Victoria Hofmo of The Scandinavian East Coast Museum is also hoping to have local pipers and a color guard. They are also working with local historical groups to set up displays of the area’s military history and to have brief talks about the two monuments and the cannon in the park.
