Danes gather to commemorate victims of Copenhagen shooting attacks

All political parties in the Copenhagen City Council and the public were invited on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 8 – 9 p.m. to a memorial service to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attacks in Copenhagen on February 14 and 15.
The event took place at Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads across from Krudttønden, Østerbro, Copenhagen where the first terrorist attack took place. It is estimated 40,000 people attended the event.
The safety of the ceremony was coordinated with the police and PET.
Among some of the participants at the ceremony were Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Danish Crown Prince Frederik, Sweden’s new Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Former Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the U.S. Ambassador in Denmark Rufus Gifford, the French ambassador François Zimeray, Lord Mayor Frank Jensen, former Chief Rabbi Bent Melchior and many more.
The program included:
* Practical information from the Employment and Integration Mayor Anna Mee Allerslev.
* Pernille Rosendahl played.
* Lord Mayor and Chairman of the Copenhagen City Council Frank Jensen introduced the Danish Prime Minister, and the Prime Minister spoke.
* Member of the City Council Lars Aslan Rasmussen introduced the chairman of the Jewish Society Dan Rosenberg Asmussen, and he spoke.
* Employment and Integration Mayor Anna Mee Allerslev introduced French Ambassador François Zimeray, and French Ambassador François Zimeray talked.
* Member of the City Council Lars Aslan Rasmussen introduced Fuat Talay, who played.
* Member of the City Council Lars Aslan Rasmussen introduced chairman of the Police Federation Claus Oxfeldt, who talked.
* Employment and Integration Mayor Anna Mee Allerslev introduced Marie Carmen Koppel and Benjamin Koppel, and they played.
* Employment and Integration Mayor Anne Mee Allerslev and member of the City Council Lars Aslan Rasmussen concluded the ceremony.
