Plymouth Place Seniors in Illinois Learning about Denmark
At Plymouth Place Senior Living, 315 N. LaGrange Road, LaGrange, Illinois 60526, they study a different country each month.
In December 2015, the Plymouth Place residents will be learning about DENMARK.
Rita Lopienski, MA, RMT, AC-BC, Director of Community Life at Plymouth Place Senior Living, tells The Danish Pioneer Newspaper that the Plymouth Place seniors will be touring The Danish Home of Chicago on the morning of Tuesday, December 29, 2015 and then eating lunch at Tre Kronor restaurant in Chicago.
In the afternoon, the Nordland Band will be performing at 3 pm at Plymouth Place for a cultural program of Denmark.
The following events are at Plymouth Place Senior Living, 315 North La Grange Rd, La Grange Park. They are free and open to the public, but reservations are requested. Tuesday, 12/29: Nordland Band: Tribute to Denmark, Dole Hall 3:00 pm: Chicago’s only professional pan-Scandinavian band, the Nordland Band has, since its inception in 1990, been invited to perform for the Royal Danish Consulate, at the wWinnipeg and the Earth Song Folk Festivals in Canada, and has been a regular for many years at Chicago’s Andersonville Midsommar Fest.
