Pop-up Shop with Marie Wikstrom this Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Andersonville, Chicago
Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood definitely misses legendary Wikstrom’s Delicatessen, a traditional destination for Swedish and Scandinavian delicacies for decades.
Pastoral Andersonville, 5212 N. Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60640 is proud to welcome Marie Wikstrom on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11 A.M. – 3 P.M. and to feature the products her family have been making or bringing to America this holiday season.
Come meet Marie while at the same time celebrating the Swedish American Museum’s Julmarknad and taste the pickled herring, cheese, sausage, glogg mix and other delicious treats for purchase at Pastoral this holiday season. They’ll be serving up a taste of Wikstrom’s famous Glogg. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Swedish American Museum.
Wikstrom’s Gourmet Foods are still available at Pastoral in Andersonville all season (and all year!) long. Spread the word!
The Julmarknad itself runs Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Join the crowd for a festive and fun weekend at the Swedish American Museum’s Julmarknad. The annual Christmas Bazaar features Swedish and Scandinavian-inspired goods from holiday decorations to accessories, books, toys and everything in between.
