Sankta Lucia Pageant and Smörgåsbord set for Saturday, December 7, 2013 at North Park University in Chicago

Join North Park University as a time-honored holiday tradition returns to campus for the 35th annual Sankta Lucia pageant and Scandinavian smörgåsbord on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. A Swedish celebration bringing faith, hope, and light in the midst of winter’s darkness, the pageant is characterized by both song and storytelling. For North Park’s annual pageant, the Center for Scandinavian Studies selects a senior female student from the program to play the role of Lucia, and she is accompanied by fellow classmates dressed as maidens, starboys, and other characters of the season.
