* Boston Estonian Society presents Folkdancing and Music on Sunday, June 1st, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Nordic Hall – FREE

This summer on July 4th-6th, the XIX dance celebration “Touch” will take place in Tallinn, Estonia. Since last fall, the Boston Estonian folkdance group Tulihing (Firesoul) has been busy learning the required repertoire. Videos of the dances were sent to Estonia in February for review and we are happy to announce that Tulihing will be performing in Estonia alongside over 10,000 other dancers from 654 dance groups. To show off the new dances, Tulihing invites the home crowd and friends to enjoy an evening filled with folkdancing and music. The evening will feature dances learned for Estonia and ones that have been part of the existing repertoire. Unique dolls dressed in Estonian folkdress will be auctioned off and donations will gladly accepted to help defray the costs of taking part in the dance celebration.
