Scandinavian Midsommar Celebration planned with new PICNIC DINNER at Vasa Park in South Elgin, IL on Sat. June 21

The 9th Annual Scandinavian Midsommar Celebration presented by Scandinavian Park, Inc. NFP will have a little different format this year on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Vasa Park, Route 31, South Elgin, Illinois.

Scandinavian Park will be providing a wonderful PICNIC DINNER for everyone at 6 P.M., but RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST so that they will have plenty of food for everyone. The cost is only $5.00 per adult and the event is FREE to Scandinavian Park members with your 2014 membership card. The event is also FREE for children 12 and under and there is FREE parking.

The park opens at 3:30 p.m. There will be traditional Maypole raising and dancing at 4:30 p.m. and horse-drawn wagon rides from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. At sunset, there will be a bonfire lighting with traditional toast and music. The afternoon will also include activities and crafts for the children.

Please bring your family and friends for a day to remember at beautiful Vasa Park.
