‘ScanFest ’15’ in New Jersey planned for Sunday, September 6
The 31st Annual Scandinavian Fest at New Jersey’s Vasa Park, 1 Wolfe Rd., Budd Lake, NJ 07828 is Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., the Sunday of (US) Labor-Day Weekend.
ScanFest is the largest Scandinavian heritage festival in the US East to celebrate & promote the
cultures of the Nordic countries.
The festival features a full day of entertainment in 6 performance areas, 20+ food vendors with Scandinavian & familiar festival fare, a Nordic marketplace with 40+ specialized craft vendors, plus folk, traditional, modern, jazz, & classical music, folkdancing, talks, expanded special activities for kids, re-enactors and Vikings.
There will be special children’s program, reindeer, and lots more including the 7th annual All-Jersey Wife-Carry finals contest. Carry a wife – any wife – through the course to win her weight in beer!
