Soon time for Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark’s New Year’s Speech & More Royal News

It is soon time for Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark’s New Year’s Speech. The speech is scheduled for Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Fredensborg Palace (Danish time). The speech will be posted on the Royal Danish House’s website www.kongehuset.dk immediately after it is given.

The Royal Danish House is also getting ready for the New Year’s levee and banquet, which are held on January 1, and there are also the New Year’s levees on January 6 and 7, 2015.

In connection with Christmas 2014, a photograph of Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark and His Royal Highness The Prince Consort and their family assembled by the Christmas tree in The Great Hall at Fredensborg Palace on Christmas Day has been released. This official photograph and many others of the Danish Royal Family are available for view at www.kongehuset.dk.

In other Royal News, the Lord Chamberlain’s Office has announced that upon the invitation from Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands will pay a State Visit to Denmark from March 17 to 19, 2015.
