Special Illinois Event on Saturday, September 14, 2013: Danish company Grundfos Employees, Partners Walk for Water to Save Lives in Developing World
As a global leader in advanced pump manufacturing, the Danish company GRUNDFOS presents an opportunity to fight the global water crisis through its second annual “Chicagoland Walk for Water” in support of the non-profit engineering organization Water Missions International. The non-profit provides communities in the developing world with sustainable safe water solutions, many of which utilize Grundfos’ solar- or wind-powered water pumping technology.
Who: More than 100 Grundfos employees, partners and members of the Aurora, Illinois community
When: Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 (9 a.m. – registration begins, 10 a.m. – opening ceremony and 11:30 a.m. – closing ceremony)
Where: Grundfos Chicago, 3905 Enterprise Court, Aurora, IL 60504
What: The Walk for Water is a non-competitive, educational event that mimics the trek of those who walk almost four miles per day to provide their families with what is often contaminated water.
