Special ‘Passport to Scandinavia’ event coming to Field Museum in Chicago on March 18, 2015
On WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18, 2015 from 6 PM – 9 PM, you can experience a curated viewing of the new “Vikings” exhibit at the Field Museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60605. Enjoy live Scandinavian music and dancing. Sample Scandinavian cuisine from local restaurants. Cash bar.
Tickets are: $35 ($30 for members) until March 11, $40 ($35 for members) until March 17, $45 ($40 for members) at the door. Parking is available at the Soldier Field North Garage.
The Host Committee includes The Danish Pioneer Newspaper, Maiken Boysen, Friends of the Viking Ship, Honorary Royal Norwegian Consulate General, Nordic Folk Dancers of Chicago, North Park University, Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Norwegian National League, Katrine Riisager, Scandinavian Park, Inc. NFP, SWEA Chicago, Swedish Women’s Educational Association International, Inc., Swedish American Museum and Vesterheim, The National Norwegian-American Museum & Heritage Center.
Since The Danish Pioneer Newspaper, Scandinavian Park, Inc. NFP and many other local groups are on the host committee, our main goal of the Host Committee is to generate attendance.
The Field Museum has given each member of the Host Committee a discount code for its subscribers or members to get in at The Field Museum member rate. The Danish Pioneer Newspaper’s followers can use the code: “DanishPioneerPassport.” Scandinavian Park members can use the code “ScanParkPassport2015″ or please use the code of whichever local group you are affiliated with. We’d love to see you at this special event.
