Success in the Sand

In 2012, the Copenhagen International Sand Sculpture Festival featured one of the largest and most spectacular sand sculpture events taking place in Northern Europe. The sculptures were created by some of the world’s most talented sand artists, and the festival was located on Ofelia Beach in the heart of Copenhagen City surrounded by port channels on three sides. The Royal Palace Amalienborg, The Royal Playhouse and The Opera House formed three of the architectural backdrops behind the fantastic sculptures.
