A Grand Sight to See in Copenhagen
7,000 BIG DOMINO BLOCKS GOING THREE KILOMETERS THROUGH THE WHOLE CENTRAL PART OF COPENHAGEN tipped over in approximately 30 minutes on August 1, 2013 at the start of METROPOLIS FESTIVAL (www.KIT.dk), which runs through August 30th in Copenhagen.
With the start at Nikolaj Kunsthal, the bricks went through the streets, over squares, through fences, up and down stairs, through the underground toilets at Amagertorv, by Grundtvig at Vartov and ended at the Copenhagen City Hall, where Copenhagen Cultural Mayor Pia Allerslev held the opening speech for METROPOLIS in front of the Domino bricks, which had made formations throughout the hall.
The chief workers behind the successful Domino brick event, namely Trevor Davies, Dan Adams, Julian Maynard Smith and Judith Knight, were photographed with the Culture Mayor at City Hall Square where the “Domino Effect” ended.
