The Royal Summer Ballet ready to tour Denmark in June 2015
The Royal Danish Ballet is looking forward to traveling on its 10th tour around the Danish countryside in June 2015. The Summer Ballet is a free ballet experience in the outdoors. It has become a popular crowd-pleaser and every summer attracts a large audience, who return year after year to experience classical ballet and a touch of contemporary dance in the open.
The audience sits ready on the lawn with a picnic basket, excited and prepared to enjoy a summer afternoon or evening in the company of some of the world’s most talented dancers showing different excerpts from the upcoming season.
This year the Royal Ballet will visit eight different cities, and the anniversary program features excerpts from Don Quixote, Dancing with Anger, Viscera, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Cacti, Swan Lake and Naples.
The 12 dancers are: Caroline Baldwin, Holly Jean Dorger, Lena-Maria Gruber, Kizzy Matiakis, Ida Praetorius, Alexandra lo Sardo, Ulrik Birkkjær, Jonathan Chmelensky, Jón Axel Fransson, Sebastian Haynes, Andreas Kaas and Tobias Praetorius.
