Women’s Auxiliary of The Danish Home of Chicago invites new members to join today!

The Danish Home of Chicago is a busy place, and the Women’s Auxiliary of The Danish Home plays an integral part in the lives of the residents of The Danish Home and the Danish-American community.

Founded in 1958, The Women’s Auxiliary’s purpose is to assist in the social well-being of the residents of The Danish Home and thereby help to improve their quality of life. Part of this help is made possible by the important dues paid by members. Members receive invitations to the activities sponsored by the Auxiliary.

The Danish Home of Chicago and the Women’s Auxiliary have some exciting upcoming events. Events are open to everyone—please bring your friends and family. Please mark your calendars:

Saturday, October 10, 2015: Annual Auxiliary Membership Meeting/Brunch at The Danish Home

Sunday, November 1, 2015: Annual Fall Festival & Frikadeller Fest at The Danish Home

Saturday, April 16, 2016: Women’s Auxiliary Spring Benefit Luncheon at the Old Orchard Country Club in Mt. Prospect, IL

The Women’s Auxiliary has a hardworking and active Board of Directors, including President Karen Vig-Keathley, 1st Vice President Ellen Stolfa, 2nd Vice President Louise Bruynseels, Recording Secretary Ruth Kramme, Treasurer Laura Malczewski, Correspondence Kirsten Freund, Membership Joan Hoexter, Publicity Linda Steffensen, and Directors Hanne Beube, Christine Lundsberg Geiger, Jan Glintborg, Christine Haxager, Jean Jackson, Bebsie Jensen, Lois Johnson, Sharlene Roge, Lilian Wolter-Sloan, Karen Nylen-Swidergal and Carol Vashinko.
